Man.. i read this every night after work. Anytime i had to sit to use the bathroom. and any time i had it with me and had a spare moment. This SERIES is a must read. I thought that this omnibus was excellent. Only gripe i have is that some texts get caught in the middle edge and your stretching the page to read it. no biggie though.

I love it. if you buy it, you will love it.

There's two stories in here. The first starts with what seems to be yet another murder mystery involving "powers", but becomes so much more. Scary and dramatic, especially with Oeming's dark artwork. The second story arc is the history of "powers", going back to the cavemen. It also explains everything about Detective Walker, which, like the first story, is so much more than what it at first seems. Great stuff right here, pushing the title into new territories.

4 out of 5 stars Stonger Stores and Production Values- The Sequel   January 15, 2010

Once again you get some of the best stuff that has been printed in this medium here. If you loved the story you will get more awesomeness. This volume has two stories that occur in the past to varying degrees and the other books a great book end to the first volume of powers, leaving some great stories to be told in Volume 2 of the series which currently hasn't been released in hardcover.

The problems with production, unreadable pages because of binding of pages and crappy scans of art, are still present. In my opinion though they are decreasing to the point that they seem nonexistent. Although, that may be because after reading all three I just notice them less. They are still present, however, in very small quantities.

4 out of 5 stars As solid as the last two volumes...Good Stuff!!!   January 16, 2010

I almost got scared off from buying this product because I read in a few message boards that this was the point in the series where it begins to decline. Having finished reading this last night, I have to completely disagree with those statements. Not only do I think this volume continues the series faithfully, but anyone who doesn't read this volume after reading the last two is really missing out because many of the mysteries that have come up throughout the series are revealed in this issues.

Powers is one of the most enjoyable comic series out there, and Volume 3 of the Definitive Series is a most own. The only minus I will give this edition is it has far less extras than the previous two.
