An epic continuation of the best comic series out there! March 11, 2010 Brandon 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I never thought I could become such a fanboy over a comic book series but I did. Robert Kirkman delivers one of the most well written and fun to read comics I've ever had the pleasure of gracing my bookshelf with. You must buy all the volumes they are soooo good.
Best Volume Yet March 6, 2008 ThisParticular Reader (Seattle, WA) This volume really sold me on the series. I enjoyed the series before, but for some reason wasn't a huge fan. Something about this volume, though -- the way the scope of the story just kept expanding, the way so much from past stories continued to build, the way the characters started to grow, all the very entertaining action -- it just really made me a big fan. I actually went back and reread volumes 1 and 2 of the hardcovers after reading this, and then went out and bought volume 8 of the trades (since no more hardcovers have been released yet,) and I gotta say, I'm a big Invincible fan now. Volume 8 was even better. This series just continues to improve as it goes. Kirman's building a fun, exciting world, and Ryan Ottley draws it very, very well. Ottley is brilliant on this book, and his art is perfect for it. The action sequences he does are phenomenal and brutal, and are even more effective because Kirkman does such a good job of building to them. Overall just great, fun stuff.
Great stuff September 17, 2008 D. Hamann This volume continues the quality of the first 2 and even adds a few new elements with romantic tensions, the return of Nolan and Mark's family seeing an unexpected addition.
The art just keeps getting better and better.
If you've been reading the series it's a must have.
Invincible is one of the best super-hero books on the market today.
Excellent series October 14, 2008 Rainthman (Chicago, USA) Very good continuation of the Invincible story line. Mark finds out what happened to his father and discovers that he has a half-brother on a distant planet.
Bravo! September 25, 2007 Douglas Sturk (Kentucky, USA) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have a simple way to review a story, does it keep me turning the pages with excitement to see what happens next? Invincible Vol 3 (vols 1 & 2 also) does just that. The characters are compelling, the twists are fun, the art is fantastic. The only down part is waiting for Vol 4!
