I have been waiting for a TOD collection for years (I don't count the cheap black and white "Essential" titles).
This collects essentially the first half of M Wolfmans and G Colan's run on this series in the 1970's
Reading these has really been a fun way to revisit part of my childhood.
My only suggestion is that the reader space out the reading of the stories. I bought this omnibus and read it all in a few days.
While the stories are a lot of fun, sometimes they can be a little redundant in plot. That however should not take away any enjoyment of revisiting this cornerstone of Marvels horror series from the 1970s.
I am anxiously awaiting volume 2!

4 out of 5 stars Very good classic marvel   November 23, 2009

I love the Stan Lee omnibuses, especially Silver Surfer and Uncanny Xmen Chris Claremont from 1975- so I picked this up to see how the Dracula series was. It was very enjoyable the first 7 issues with those classic writers, then Wolfman takes over. He's good but never really went to the edge of excitement with the idea, but there are some creepy issues. I look forward to the 2nd omnibus where Dracula takes on the Silver Surfer and more such interesting conflicts.

The thing with these omnibus collections is they are beautiful and gorgeous, however you must check the spine of the books to see if the glue has held up. It seems there has been some cheap construction so watch out, my spine was coming unglued and I superglued it back myself rather than return it to amazon. So if you order this version be warned. If Marvel constructs these books with care and makes them sturdy they are worth every penny!

I want to see entire runs of comics in these formats so I can have all my favorites on one shelf.
